With so much new content being uploaded to YouTube everyday, it can be easy to lose track when your favourite channels post a new video – if you subscribe to a channel and ‘get the bell on’ – in other words, click the bell icon – new content by users you’re subscribed to will appear on your YouTube home page, so you see it immediately instead of having to hunt for it. It is easy to subscribe to a channel – visit the channel you’d like to subscribe to and click the Subscribe button.
Subscribing to a user on YouTube means you no longer have to wait to discover the latest news about your favourite YouTube channels, YouTube will notify you any time new content appears in the user’s activity feed.
If you don’t want to keep up with your subscriptions on the site, YouTube can send you a weekly summary of all the latest activity from your subscribed channels. Log in to your YouTube account and visit youtube.com/account. Then, click the Email Options tab on the left menu. Check the box next to Send subscriptions updates once each week in the Subscription Updates section, then click the Save Changes button. YouTube will send you weekly emails detailing all your subscriptions’ latest activity, without you having to visit your subscriptions page on the site.
In June 2019, Groop launched a new YouTube channel to give our users, and our potential users, an insight to our software. The aim of the channel is to keep our viewers and subscribers up to date through webinars and tutorials. We are constantly creating bitesize tutorials for every area of the Groop software to inform, and also to guide, you through your Groop journey – whether you are researching a management platform or are starting to use Groop.
We also share videos from our events, showing inspiring and relevant content to our subscribers. Our first Groop conference explored how we can Disrupt, Innovate and Change the volunteering world. Katie, Partnerships Executive at Groop, and Maria, Trustee at Creative Youth Network, spoke about how young people want to help but often don’t know where to start, and that charities and community groups are not reaching out to them effectively. Watch Maria’s Inspiring poem from the conference on our YouTube channel now.
The Groop software was built to support the management of every aspect of your group – ensuring your community is compliant, safeguarded and connected. Our YouTube channel is a powerful knowledge and learning tool, we detail the areas of management that Groop support, show the day to day use of our software and demonstrate the powerful reporting you can use.
We are looking to grow our channel and look forward to having you on board!
If you would like a full demonstration or more information then we would love to talk to you – please contact us.
