Shrewton Youth Club near Salisbury holds sessions and activities every Wednesday for young people that live locally. The Club gives the attendees a safe, informal and happy environment where they can engage in activities and socialise with similar age groups, making sure that community is at the heart of what they do. The Youth Club is run and headed by a group of volunteers that selflessly give up their evenings to make sure the local young community have a place to relax and come together to do various activities.
Shrewton Youth Club have been using the Groop platform to enable a smooth and easy switchover between the current voluntary staff, making holding the sessions much easier to maintain. To date, Groop has enabled the Youth Club to run more than 90 sessions between their regular 1525 attendees and in excess of 1000 attendances!
Terry Kemp, volunteer at Shrewton Youth Club sings Groop’s praises, he states: ‘I find the software terrific! The advantage of Groop is that there is absolutely no need to go back and forth getting paperwork from your club, especially when you hold activities that aren’t at the club base. We have one central point of information that enables anyone with authorised permissions to access what they need from wherever they are and whenever they want. We work in an organisation that includes staff, management and volunteers of all different ages, some with adversity to tech software and Groop provides and easy-to-use platform that all our volunteers get along with! The initial investment of time into data entry will pay off in the long run and once that information is there, it’s always there. RunAClub is a mine of information with a legal and updated library, alongside storing and managing all club details safely and securely.’
